Woah!!! (Warning)

Woah!!!

I really managed to get (most of) my money back
from those gangsters who cheated me with the
dish washer I bought from them!

After weeks of phoning, writing, going to the store
in person, with guidance, back and forth and many
appointments to which no one came, I just got 150
of 165 € back.

It was quite dubious... He didn't want to send me the
money over a bank account but bring it in person to
my place - between 8 and 10 pm.

I had two neighbors waiting with me, as witnesses
and as protection, you never know. By 10 no one was
there, like I expected it to be. I called, several times,
no answer. My neighbor called from her mobile, no
answer. Later he calls back to her mobile and tells
me, that he just finished another appointment in the
district of Schöneberg and that he'll be here in about
30 minutes.

We did not believe it. Suddenly the mobile rang and
he asked me to come down stairs, what I planned to
do anyways.

He sat in his van, the street is all dark, inside the car
it's dark as well. He asked me to walk around the car
to his side with the open window. I was a little scared.
He gave me 150 and we had an argue about the rest.
He told me he was sort of broke and has no more €
with him. He plans to transfer it via paypal, soon. We
will see what happens.

For me, 165 is a lot of money and thinking of all the
stress and psycho terror I had with this whole process,
I'm just super happy that it's done and I have most of
my money back. Puh.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For all of you that consider to buy any electronic 2nd hand
stuff: DO NOT BUY IT HERE!
ebay: 030jacke07
Shop 1: Provinzstr. 109, 13409 Berlin
Shop 2: Oranienburgerstr. 95, 13437 Berlin
Update
It's 3:44 am, I haven't slept yet and will have to leave in about 30 minutes to Cologne.
When I arrive somewhat about noon I'll directly go to the venue that holds the art fair.
I have to get a feeling for the room, hope that my images were transported all fine and
hang everything.
Emotional I feel a bit instable. Just two days ago, me and 10 other young artist had the
final presentation of our performances that we elaborated during the very intensive and
emotional absorbing studies we had.
I learned so much during that time, our group was fantastic and the atmosphere was
great. Maybe it's hard to understand, but we all opened up quite a lot, what is a quality
and was very helpful for the situation, but it made us/me also vulnerable and now I feel
like all these contact with closeness and distance issues are sort of overstrung and I
need a break and want to be only with myself. And not.
The final presentation was a success for everyone - except me. Actually I had worked
all the time on a duo performance and was quite far and secure with the whole thing,
but wanted also to do a solo performance, then. When we made the schedule for the
evening, one day before, we realised, that some performances would have to be par
allel due to the time limits of the venue.
Since I wanted to have a less performances at the same time as possible, I skipt my
duo performance quite spontaniously and concentrated on my solo, which was also
based on a spontanious idea.
In my eyes, mind, feeling, whatever I fucked it up completely, I even started feeling help-
less and loosing my control in the situation, which should never ever happen. All other
people were telling me how much they loved it and how great it was. But that doesn't
change a lot and I don't feel well. I even dicided not to do a performance at the art fair
now and better take a break, calm down and think about everything.
All together, I think this month is just an overload (Minimus exhibition, performance art
studies, presentation, art fair... and addionally some more trouble) and the last days
have been so touching and deep so that it's just normal to don't feel too good, now.
Anyhow, I have to leave now and I'm looking forward to Cologne, try to take it easy.
Hulk Hogan and Mickey Rourke
I'm finally almost healthy, again. Thanks for your wishes! Still a little cough and a wet nose, but no big thing.
After a long abstinent time, I went to my preview cinema tonight and saw "The Wrestler", with Mickey Rourke. I really liked it and it's for sure not only a movie for Wrestling fans. Sitting in the movie, I remembered, that I actually liked wrestling, when I was little and it became hip in Germany. I loved Hulk Hogan, hehehe, so embarrassing.
So, urgently to bed now.
sicko
I'm sick. Super sick.
Haven't been like that for a long time. I cough out my bronchia, can clean my nose every minute, feel hot and dizzy, my throat hurts, my head hurts, my ears hurt, my eyes burn, every now and then I have a little chill and even going to the toilet is exhausting. I lay at home all day with three blankets, lots of tea and and, from time to time, some ice cream. I try to kill the boredom with an overdose of TV and to little computer breaks to check the daily mail.
Today came a friend with yummy brownies and cough drops - a nice treat! I hope I'll get better soon, I was/am so sad that I could not attend the last two days of the Berlinale film festival. I have a performance next Friday and I'll be naked, so I just have to be fine, again! I already had to cancel one job due to that shit...
I'm freezing, back to bed, now.
Good luck for my application
All this paper work can make you so tired. Bureaucracy demands
a lot of energy.
But today I'm proud of myself, since I finally managed to finish
a bunch of letters, applications, bills, taxes etc. Now I need all
fingers to be crossed for the most important application:
I applied for some student loan extra time. The current lasts till
the end of March and I hope, I manage to receive it for one more
year, when I finish my studies.
Actually it should work, because I've been sick and able to proof
it. Illness is listed and accepted as a main reason for extended
study time, but you never know.
26 lbs
From August until now I've lost 26 lbs.
That sounds amazing!
BUT
It's not at all visible and feelable. No size change, either.
Not for me, not for others. Well, if someone with 120 lbs
would have lost 26 lbs, anyone could see a change but
not here.
AND
I could not keep up my diet since October. Though I still
lost weight, it just sucks that I relapsed, completely. And
I know the 26 lbs won't last if I don't manage to get back
to a certain point.
I should at least try to go back to 1.5 - 2.5 l of water or tea
per day. Ah, I'll see how it goes.
(Happy New Year!)
Early this month, Voivodess, an adorable character, artist and model stayed with me and we had the chance to take some fantastic pictures.
Voivodess was VERY brave since shooting nude outside in December in Berlin is more than just cold. It was our 2nd try, also. The day before we went already out of town, set up everything and than suddenly it was dark and we couldn't shoot. Well, but the next day worked out exactely like I wanted it to. We did another indoor set, too. I'll show something, soon.
Voivodess wears an outfit made by TO.mTO Berlin. (It's show outfit she performed with at Extravaganxa in Hamburg).
Finally some beautiful pictures from Greece
Since I could need a little sun these days, I viewed again the images of my personal Wonderland Greece. I realised that I had not uploaded the most of them yet. Sun is rare right now and maybe you can refill your store a bit when watching them.
Klick here to see the full set on flickr!
Stereotype - new pictures
My life has been SO busy the last weeks and it will go on like that. So just a quick and dirty entry to keep my journal alive. The photos were taken in early October when I was in London (that's another LJ entry). I like them very much. I do barely b/w shots but in this case it just fits perfectly. What do you think?
Model: Miss Viktoria | London 2008
TO.mTO Show at Extravaganxa Fetish Party - Hamburg 2008
TO.mTO at Extravaganxa 2008, originally uploaded by Julischka Stengele.
Here's finally the review.
This photo was shot by Oliver Simonsen during the Extravaganxa fetish party in Hamburg, mid October 2008. Please cklick on the image to see the full set with stage pictures at my flickr account.
We went there to do a fashion show for the fantastic corset label TO.mTO Berlin, by Tonia Merz. Check www.daskorsett.de for more.
Here you see me, the tightrope dancer, together with our ringmistress Clea Cutthroat.
We had actually quite a lot fun. Our show went very well and though the audience was more or less calm during our show (during all shows), we all got lots of compliments by the other guests after we finished. They were really amazed by the great outfits. Generally the atmosphere was very friendly and open. I was absolutely in party mood and not tired at all. Unfortunately almost all of us wanted to go to sleep and so I had to leave much earlier than I actually wanted, but it was okay.
Oh and I (we all) was honestly impressed, how good organized everything was and how lovely the crew and host took care of us. Our backstage was big, we had enough light, places to hang our clothes and - best of all - loads of food and drinks. Tee, coffee, water, juice, beer..., fruits, cake, sandwiches and a hugh ox of sweets. Our hotel was just 2 km away, all rooms were already paid and so on. (We had double rooms and I Clea and I shared one. We stayed in Etap Hotel and when we entered the room...ah, wtf, the "bath room" was a strange narrow plastic box and we felt like in a space ship, haha). All in all very professional and that's definitely not usual.
And Tonia was also very sweet. She kept motivating us and was very enthusiastic. After the rehersals, she invited us all to a very tasty Asian dinner. The restaurant was totally odd. It was a Chinese one, but actually more of a Thai, I guess. The restaurant used to be a Greek one before and they didn't change anything. The plastic grapes were still hanging everywhere, as well as the pictures of the Greek islands and some family portraits. We even listened to Greek music while eating our incredible tasty dinner, hahah. And: I had the best and most strange duck dish I've ever had in my life. The crispy duck meat had a slight taste of marchipane/almond! It was SO weird! It was not sweet at all, just slightly and sooooo yummie. I'd like to go back just for that restaurant.
The next day, we went all to a different part of Hamburg, called Blankenburg. It's one of the most beautiful city parts I've ever seen. Before I had been to Blankenburg, I didn't like Hamburg too much. I won't try to describe it now, I'll rather go there and take pictures. It's all tiny tiny alleyways and nooks and crannies and it's directly at the beach! One of our troup who lives in Hamburg, is friends with the owner of a cute little bistro and she organized us a breakfast there. The bistro used to be a small nautic cottage before and we had a tasty Nordish breakfast with shrimps and scrambled eggs in front of the beach. Just perfect!
After that zuckerrotermond , her boy and I went to see the photo exhibition Traumfrauen (dream girls) at the Deichtorhallen and walked a bit around the well-known city part Speicherstadt while the others went already on ttheir way home.
The whole weekend was just great and I'm really looking forward to the next show we'll do together.
I'm a mix of rope dancer and a ballerina. Depending on Tonia's mood sometimes more or less of the one or the other, hehe. But in the last time it was more of a rope dancer and I guess it will be so, tonight.
Okay, now I gotta go ready. I'll bring you some pics of my beautiful outfit and the show when we're back home tomorrow evening.
Corset, Extravaganza and other
Busy day.
Over noon we met at Allianz to discuss some further stuff for the expo, how to organize and design everything.
After that, I went over to TomTo for chatting and the fitting of the pre-model from my *will-turn-out-incredible*-corset. It will be black and petrol-turquoiseish with some black net lace and it has a great cut. I'm so excited to model it on the show at Extravaganza, a fetish event in Hamburg on Oct 18th.
By the way: Any LJ'ers attending this event?
Leaving TomTo, I went straight to Juan of a Kind's clothing shop Let it bleed in Kreuzberg. There I met some of my dark and light missed Wonderhaux and as usual we shared some laughs and words and well, a bit of other stuff. Was good to see them!
Now I'm sitting at home, again being lazy, though I'd have lots of things to do. Finishing some graphics, emails for London things, cleaning... Oh and I just had a hugh, or actually the first real relapse from my diet since beginning of August. I ate a full bag of caramel and chocolate-nuts and went even on after I felt quickly full and sick. Now everything is gone and I cannot feel entrapped anymore. Man, shouldn't have bought this shit, had gained some of the weight I have had lost before Greece, anyways... For sure, my gastritis also dislikes it.
Dutch cinema , new soup and medium format
After life-modelling this morning, I went to the photo lab the have my films developed and pushed. It took them just 3 hours and since the lab is near my fav cinema and also a soup place I like, I could think of something better to do than go back home.
Potato soups belong to my fav soups, anyways, but today I tried a real good one. It was with sour cream and rosemary (which is good but nothing special) and with honey and chestnut pieces! I'll find out how to cook it myself, SO yummieee!
I was also lucky with my movie, which I really needed after a few weeks cinema abstinence. Currently there is the "Flachlandfestival" going at Babylon, a Dutch film fest. I saw "Vergnügungspark Niederlande" (amusement park Netherlands), a documentary about funny and crazy Dutch habits and lifestyle.
Picking up the films and contact prints, I was lucky about the results (some good images of my two Crimson Carnival boys shot during the C/Sin Art Festival), but again reminded to maybe shoot 35 mm instead medium format, when I took a look on the bill. 24 € the film, 18 € developing/push and 15 € the contact prints. Makes around 57 € - for 4 films (= 60 photos). But well, I love medium format.
Okay, it's almost 3 at night and I did again a good job with procrastination.
